Eero Keeps Going Offline – Causes and How to Fix

A network with all its eeros offline means that the gateway device connected to the router is unable to go online.

You need to ensure your eero is well connected to the modem and that it is powered on. Check with the provider as well to figure out if there is an issue with the network.

To keep your eero from going offline, check the cable, internet network, and call customer support if nothing changes.

Plug-in

Ensure the modem and eero device are plugged into a power source and that the lights on both should be on.

Check Internet 

Confirm the connection between your gateway eero and modem that are both connected using Ethernet cables.

Ensure these cables make a clicking sound when inserted into the two devices’ ports.

Power Cycle Eero

Having confirmed that the connection is secure and adequately powered on, unplug and replug it into the power port.

Wait for about 2 minutes for the system to fully boot back up. During this booting, the LED lights flash a white color taking about a minute before starting up and going into broadcast.

The process will be over when you notice the LED light stops blinking and goes back to the solid white color.

Restart Modem 

This will sometimes fix connectivity problems and improve functions. Unplug the power cable from the modem and wait for 30 seconds to power cycle the modem. If an on/off switch is available, switch it off and wait for 30 seconds before turning it on again.

The lights on the modem and the LED on the eero device will be blinking. Wait for the blinking to end before trying to reconnect online again.

This switch needs to be connected to the ethernet port found open on the gateway eero then as many as is possible devices can be connected to the switch ports.

Be careful not to connect a switch between your modem and gateway eero for your network to work properly.

Instead, connect the eero device to the modem before linking the switch. Reconnecting some devices to eero, you may need to forget the wireless network and then add it again.
