Even though the Asus Lyra and Asus Lyra Trio are made from the same company, they have extremely different designs. The design on this router is not anything you are going to come across elsewhere easily. However, it is not the most pleasant, but we like that it is quite compact for easy installation.

For transmission, this router depends on two bandwidths; the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band. The lesser 2.4GHz band delivers 450Mbps theoretical throughput, while the 5GHz band does a 1,300Mbps transmission speed. Inside the router is a 750MHz Qualcomm CPU processor that works alongside a 128MB RAM and 32MB flash memory.

As with all other recent Asus routers, the Asus Lyra Trio comes with a mobile app. When downloaded on the user’s phone, it allows for a wide range of control options, some of which include turning the router on and off, activating parental controls, guest network management and even running speed tests.
