How to Use Audible on Roku

With audiobooks apps, nowadays there’s no excuse to not keeping up with your favorite books. This is because the apps allow you to listen to your books while working around the house, walking, or even a way to relax while on your couch. It’s like listening to a storyteller.

Audible is a subscription-based audiobook app offering access to a ton of audio library books, podcasts, stories, series, movies, etc. The best part about the app is that its content is available in different languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Japanese, and so on. Wouldn’t it be cool to listen to your favorite podcast from your TV instead of your phone or PC when at home?

Unfortunately, Audible is not yet available on Roku connected TV and the company is working hard to get it on the channel store. However, this can’t stop you from enjoying your favorite audio app while at home on Roku. We will show you alternative ways of getting Audible on your Roku streaming player.

Using Audible on Roku

Audible still doesn’t have an official channel on the channel store and have no set timeline as to when they will get it but are working on it. However, you can still go ahead and set up on Audible for use on your Roku connected TV. Before doing so, first, make sure that your Roku streaming device is switched on and connected to your TV. We will be casting Audible content from another device, so make sure that you connect the Roku and the casting device to the same wireless network. Once your Roku device is fully turned on and connected to the Wi-Fi network, enable Screen mirroring on it by going to Settings, select ‘Screen Mirroring’, then click on ‘Mirroring Mode’ and choose ‘Always allow’. This is because will need this feature to successfully mirror content to the Roku connected TV.


If you have an Android device, open the Google Play Store app on the device, search for the Audible app and install it on the device. Once the installation is done, go to Settings on the same device and select ‘Device connections’ or ‘connection settings’ depending on your Android device. Again depending on the device model, select ‘Cast, Multi-screen or Smart view’ and turn on the feature by toggling the button. A list of devices will appear. Find and select your Roku streaming device from the list. Next, open the Audible app that you installed previously on your Android and play any content on it. Confirm that the content you just played appears on your Roku connected TV.


On iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and search for the ‘Audible’ app in the store. Tap on the ‘Get’ button to install it. While the app is installing, tap on the back arrow to go back to the previous screen and then search for ‘Mirror for Roku’. From the search results, look for the one by Airbeam TV and then tap on ‘Get’ to install the app. Upon complete installation of both apps, open the Mirror for Roku app on your iOS device, and from the list of available devices, select your Roku streaming device. Next, you will be prompted to open the Mirror for Roku channel on your Roku streaming device. If you have the channel already, then open it, otherwise you will be redirected to the channel store to add the channel. When redirected, click on ‘+ Add channel’ to add Mirror for Roku on your Roku device. Now, back to the Mirror for Roku app on your iOS device, once again, choose your Roku streaming device from the list, and then tap on ‘Allow Notifications’ to continue. Next, on your iOS device, tap on the ‘Start Mirroring’ icon and then on your Roku, click on ‘Start Broadcast’ to mirror your iOS device screen on your Roku device. Open the Audible app on iOS and play any audio then check if the content appears on the Roku

connected TV and is audible. You should now be able to use the Audible app on your Roku connected TV.
