How to activate Verizon Phone
Verizon is one of the leading telecommunications companies in the US. Besides offering telecommunications services, the company also sells smartphones compatible with its network or one can bring their own phone to the network.

Method One: Online phone activation
You will need a My Verizon account before you can activate your phone online. Select the line you want to activate on your new phone and then Verizon will check your phone’s compatibility with your line and the current plan. To continue, if you’ve used the phone on your account before, select ‘yes’, if it’s the first time setting up the phone with your account, then select ‘No’. Next, enter your device ID and click on ‘Check Device’.
Verizon will then text you the activation code for the phone that you are activating. Select the phone that you want the code to be sent and then click on ‘Text Me the Code’ to proceed. Once you receive the text message, type the code into the ‘Online Authorization Code’ field and click on ‘Confirm’. You can locate your SIM card and the ID number by clicking on ‘Add to Cart’ and then type in your SIM ID number. Next, click on ‘Check ID’ and to confirm your changes, click on ‘Confirm’. Your phone should now be activated.
Method two: My Verizon app
Another method is by using the My Verizon app if you have one on your smartphone. Open the app on your phone and tap on ‘Add device’ to proceed. Next, tap on ‘Activate a device I already own’ and then choose the device’s operating system. The last step is to type your device’s ID and you are done!
Method three: Phone call
For someone who doesn’t feel comfortable using the My Verizon app or Verizon’s website, this is the most ideal method for you. You will need your SIM card, receipt, and then phone that you want to activate. Use any and dial (877) 807-4646 from the Phone app. You will be prompted on the steps to follow and activate your Verizon phone. Since the SIM card insertion procedure varies from one phone to another, check your device’s user manual and insert the SIM card into the phone. If the battery is removable, insert it and then charge your device and it should be activated and ready for use.
