Design and Structure

TP-Link One Mesh Features Design and Structure

The TP-Link One Mesh is a white router which has its size dimensions at 2.74 x 4.89 x 1.39 inches and weighs about 11.2 ounces. In as much as it has a small portable size, it can only fit into your wall socket when it is on its own, it cannot work closely to another device as it takes up a lot of room. Alternatively, you can use an extension cord but ensure that you leave some space.

It is a plug in unit and you are supposed to plug it over a distance of sixty to seventy feet away from your router. When you place them further apart from this, you will have connection problems such as dropping Wi-Fi signals or lost internet connections. It comes with an LED indicator that is at its top. The LED indicator is supposed to tell you the power status of your TP-Link One Mesh and also tell you what its internet connection status is. When it turns white it shows that there is a stable internet connection and when it turns red it shows that there is no internet and you may need to troubleshoot.

Speed and Performance

The TP-Link One Mesh router is capable of delivering throughput speeds of up to 1,200 Mbps. It is fitted with a single 2.4 GHz band and another single 5 GHz band. Its bandwidth speeds are distributed as 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. It works by wirelessly connecting to your Wi-Fi router and then it strengthens and expands the signal from your router to all the areas in your home that it could not previously reach.

This particular mesh range extender has been designed to work with routers that are able to support AC1200 Wi-Fi standards and above. Also, it is compatible with standard gateways, access points and also with other internet service provider gateways. Its signal indicator gives you directions on where to place your range extender so that you can get the strongest internet connection possible.

Range and Capacity

The TP-Link One Mesh has been developed to cover a range of up to 1,500 square feet. This would be ideal for your small home. It works best within this particular range. However, if your devices are beyond these dimensions, you may find yourself experiencing connectivity issues such as dropping Wi-Fi signals or even lost internet connections.

Aside from that, it is able to hold a capacity of up to twenty five devices on its connection log. It is able to keep your devices working perfectly and receiving the right throughput speeds.

Security and Network Control

The TP-Link One Mesh router is protected by WPA 2 security protocol with 128-bit encryption. Also, the TP-Link One Mesh router is easy to install. All you would need to do is to press the WPS button on your router and then it automatically connects to your home network. In the event that you are unable to do this, you can manually configure the TP-Link One Mesh router to your network using the TP-Link Tether app.

Through the TP-Link Tether app you are able to manage and control your network. It allows you to check on your network name and change the password of your network. However, if you would want to access more advanced settings then you would have to log into the web user interface. On the app, you can ensure your children’s internet safety when they are making use of the internet. Also, you can restrict websites and devices from connecting to your network.
