How to Access Twitter on Roku Devices
Social media apps have changed how we interact with each other and how we access information. Now, you don’t necessarily need to have access to a TV for you to receive the latest information from across the globe.
One of the most popular social media apps is Twitter. This micro-blogging site is a go-to for many when it comes to real-time information. This is because the platform is easy to use and share information. You can check out what’s happening by going through the Trends. This is where the most tweeted activities will appear, making it easier and faster for someone to go through a certain topic without scrolling through their home feed. Wouldn’t it be nice to view these tweets, especially the images and videos on your TV screen? This would ensure that you miss nothing. Unfortunately, you can’t install the Twitter app on your Roku streaming device.
To access Twitter on Roku devices, you need to screen mirror the app on your Roku from a compatible device. We will guide you through these alternative methods.
Initially, the Twitter app was available on the Roku Channel Store allowing users to watch live streams and online videos. However, with the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) privacy laws by the European Union, Twitter had to shut down its app on Roku and other platforms to first comply with these laws before allowing them back on.
