Netgear c6250 vs Motorola mg7540. How do they differ?

Design

Netgear c6250 is a small upright slab with an attractive sheen finish that doesn’t take up much space on your shelf. It has triangular ventilation holes at the back and sides to keep it cool and internal antennas which give it a compact look and 4 LED lights at the front that shows the status of your network and internet connection. At the side at buttons for WPS and wifi while at the back are 2 gigabit Ethernet ports, a USB 3.0 port, a reset button, a power button, and a power input port. On the other hand, the Motorola mg7540 is a more compact device with a black solid casing with ventilation on the sides and a stand to keep the device stable. At the front are LED lights indicating the status of your network, and at the back are 4 LAN ports, WLAN and WPS buttons, a reset button, a coaxial cable port, a power switch, and a power input.

The Motorola mg7540 is a better-looking device that will not look out of place on your living room table.

Extra features

Some extra features don’t feature on either of the devices. The Netgear c6250 comes with 2 Ethernet ports instead of 4 and a USB 3.0 port that you’ll not find in the Motorola mg7540. It has faster transfer speeds than the USB 2.0 and it allows you to connect your external hard drive so you can share your files, photos, music, videos, and other content wirelessly with other DNLA-compatible devices. It also has a WAN port that you can connect to your modem. The Motorola mg7540 has both the WPS and WLAN buttons that are missing in the Netgear c6250.

The Netgear c6250 has a USB 3.0 port that you won’t find in most modem router combos and it allows for faster transfer speeds than the USB 2.0.
