How do I check PES data consumption on my phone?

Pro Evolution Soccer runs only on only Android and Windows 7 phones. The game can be played online or offline with the online mode being popular because one gets to play against other players online. To download the game, you need at least 500 GB worth of data on an active internet connection.

To check the PES data consumption on Android, go to Settings, and select Wireless & Networks option. From the menu tap on Data usage and then navigate to Mobile data usage and tap on ‘App data usage’. On the next screen, you should be able to see your phone’s overall mobile data usage for the month.

Now, to see how much data PES has consumed over the same period, scroll through the list of apps and locate PES. The amount of data consumed by the game should be indicated next to the title.

To view the PES data consumption breakdown, tap on PES and a complete breakdown including the Total, Foreground, and Background data amount should be displayed on this detail screen. If you wish to view data consumption for a different period, then tap on the displayed duration period and change.

Unfortunately for Windows 7 phone users, there is no way to monitor your PES data usage like on Android which may be because of how old the operating system is. This is only possible on later Windows versions including Windows 8 and 10.

How to save data on your phone

First method: Set a data limit

Playing games including PES can drain your data because of getting consumed by the game and forgetting that it’s using your mobile data instead of Wi-Fi. You can however set a data limit on your android phone to alert you when you’re close to this limit. Besides, you can set it to limit your phone from not going beyond the set data amount.

Open Settings and select ‘Wireless & Networks’ then tap on ‘Data Usage’ and choose ‘Data warning & Limit’ from the screen. To proceed, tap on ‘App data usage cycle’, choose a day that you wish to have your monthly cycle begin, and tap on ‘SET’ to save these changes.

On the main Data & warning limit screen, toggle on the ‘Set data limit’ and click on OK to confirm your selection. Tap on the ‘Data limit’ option right below the ‘Set data limit’ toggle and set your preferred data limit and hit ‘SET’.

Second method: Turn on data saver mode

Android introduced the Data saver feature on phones running on Android 8.0 or later with an aim to help you save on data. This feature is simple to use and works only when you’re using cellular data by ensuring that apps & services won’t run in the background.

On your Android phone, open Settings and go to ‘Wireless & Networks’ from the list. To activate data saver, scroll down, and click on ‘Data Saver’. On the next screen, locate ‘Use Data Saver’ and toggle it on. This works on all apps including PES. If you wish to allow a few apps to run in the background when Data Saver mode is on, tap on ‘Unrestricted data’ found on the same screen and toggle on any apps that you wish to have running when data saver is on.
