Currently, the lowest priced, and most commonly used, is the Family Bundle which costs $64.99 per month.It comes with a total of 144 channels from which to choose. Note that this is the most basic package, and if you would like to view more channels or have more options, you have to pay extra for additional packages. For instance, FuboTV Family package that includes Showtime will cost you $74.99 on a monthly basis.

You will notice that this service comes with a much wider selection of sports channels. This may be primarily because it actually started off as a soccer streaming service before including other content in their packages. Notably, this service can be used by more than one family at a time.

Sling TV Review

Sling TV has been around a good deal of time, and, in fact, it was the first ever live TV streaming service to hit the airwaves. It started off as an affordable service, and it is still surprisingly cheap – cheaper than most other live TV streaming services currently.

Unlike FuboTV that has an incredibly wide selection of sports channels, Sling TV comes with a nice balance of options, delivering reality, news, lifestyle and even sports options. They have two main bundles, the first of which is the Orange Bundle. This comes with a total of 30 channels and costs $30 every month after paying an initial $20 in monthly rates.

The second bundle is called the Blue Bundle, and it comes with 45+ channels and also costs $30 after paying the initial $20. The most convenient package on Sling TV is a combined package where you get both Orange and Blue Sling, and this will cost you $45 per month. In case you want add-on channels, you will have to pay an extra $5 or more depending on the chosen add-on.

FiboTV vs. Sling TV – How do they compare?

Number of channels

Much as Sling TV has been around a longer period than FuboTV, it comes with considerably less TV channels from which to choose. Its two packages, the Blue Sling and Orange Sling, come with a total of 30 channels each. Each package comes at a price of around $30, but you would have to pay an extra $5 for each extra add-on.Note that the combination of channels is not the same. You can however, have a combined package of the two, and you would pay a total of $45 every month.

FuboTV, on the other hand, delivers up to 144 channels on their base package, and it costs a total of $64.99. Note that the number of channels is significantly larger than that of Sling TV. You can add several channels to this list, but you would also be required to pay extra. However, FuboTV does not offer as good customization options as does Sling TV.

Cloud DVR

For storage of recorded shows and other content, Sling TV offers up to 10 hours for regular users. However, you can increase this storage to 50 hours, but you would need to pay an extra $5 every month for it.

FuboTV, on the other hand, comes with up to 30 hours of Cloud DVR. Expansion of this storage time is possible, and with an extra $10 every month, you can get yourself an extra 470 hours, allowing you Cloud DVR storage of a whopping 500 hours. This makes FuboTV a better option than Sling TV as far as cloud storage goes.  

4K/ HDR Streaming

When it comes to 4K and HDR streaming, it is disappointing to note that Sling TV does not offer this service. All their content is available in HD (720p) or in FHD (1080p).

Comparably, FuboTV offers a couple shows in 4K and HDR, especially live sports events. There are, however, other shows (such as The Masked Singer) that are available in 4K.

FuboTV sets itself higher than Sling TV as far as 4K/ HDR display goes since it offers a couple shows and live events as such.

Even thoughSling TV has been around the longest, it still does not offer a couple crucial services to users such as big Cloud DVR capacity and 4K streaming.This is why FuboTV outdoes it because, even though it is pricier, it offers a wider selection of channels, comes with more Cloud DVR storage and also allows for 4K/HDR live streaming.
